Prawns are grey when raw, but turn pinkish-red when cooked because they contain a biochemical pigment called astaxanthin that reacts to heat. Lobsters and crabs contain the same thing.

One of life’s simple pleasures, our succulent, juicy prawns are plump and delicious. Wild-caught and frozen at source in Argentina, they’re versatile to cook with and enjoyable in so many different ways. Prawns are also a healthy choice and a great source of low fat protein.

Our shell on 16-20 grade prawns are available per 250g.

Prawns are incredibly versatile shellfish. They’re delicious on their own, but tasty enough to stand up to a huge variety of flavours, including spicy curries and chilli sauces. You can bake, barbecue, deep fry, grill, poach, steam or stir fry them. Cooked and cooled, they make for great salads and sandwiches too. With a little know-how, you can still enjoy them at their best.

To make the most of their flavour, simply grill on a barbecue and serve with garlic butter,

Best eaten immediately.

Store in the fridge between 0ºC-5ºC, and eat within 2-3 days.

Do not refreeze.
