Exotic swordfish is moist and flavourful with a slightly sweet taste. Loin steaks are a chef’s favourite, with a uniquely firm, meaty texture and high oil content. Swordfish flesh can vary from white and ivory to pink and orange, depending on the diet of the particular fish, turning beige after cooking. Try it as a tasty, and equally healthy, alternative to tuna.
Our swordfish steaks are cut from the loin a minimum of 25mm thick, to prevent drying out during cooking. Available as 150g, 200g or 250g portions.
If you are looking for a larger piece of swordfish for a dinner party or celebration, please call us on 01305 761277 and we would be delighted to take your order.

Swordfish works well with any tuna recipe. Best char-grilled, pan-fried or barbecued, swordfish stands up well to strong flavours like chilli, ginger and garlic. Although it’s oil-rich, it benefits from being marinated or brushed with oil prior to cooking to prevent it from drying out or sticking to the hot cooking surface.
We recommend grilling your steaks, ideally on the barbecue, after marinating in oil, lemon juice and spices, like coriander and cumin.
Best eaten immediately.
Store in the fridge between 0ºC-5ºC, and eat within 2-3 days.
If you don’t plan to eat within 3 days, then freeze on day of delivery and eat within 3 months. Defrost in the fridge overnight. Do not refreeze.
